I’m Gretta - a Clinical Animal Behaviourist and Dog Trainer, turned business nerd
For a long time, I never thought of myself as a business-type of person. You see, before a 10 year career in teaching, I - for no fathomable reason - headed out of uni into various sales and marketing roles and it taught me a lot.
I learned about ‘selling’… mainly that I hated it! Well, more specifically, I just couldn’t do it in the way that was expected (despite being told that this was just the way it had to be done).
As a slightly-socially-awkward-introvert, it felt really uncomfortable. As someone who values authenticity, ethics and transparency, the whole thing just made me cringe.
So I did it my own way. Luckily, and to my surprise, I got great results (turns out there was another way, after all!)
Years later, entering the world of dog training, I was faced with a new set of industry norms. Whilst less cringey and ‘ethically-challenging’, they were leading to brilliantly skilled people burning-out and struggling to make ends meet. It was sad to see.
So, now, with years of experience in the industry and multiple successful businesses under my belt, I’m on a mission to help others with their businesses… and in turn, the clients and animals that we all serve. After all, that’s why we’re here.

I’m not going to pretend that this programme is as well-suited to everyone as a spaniel is to scentwork… because that wouldn’t help anyone.
It’s likely to be a great fit for you if:
you’ve been running an income generating business as an ethical dog trainer or animal behaviourist for at least a year
you want to increase your income (likely towards a goal of £3-5k/ month) and/ or reduce your working hours
you like to understand the ‘why’ beneath every strategy, rather than just being given a list of things to do

you take responsibility for your own actions and success - you know that there are no magic wands

I get it… and I’m so glad that you’re keen to develop your business. I want to help.
Of course, this programme is designed to give you a return on your investment but I know that it’s not always easy to find the money.
Remember, you can spread your payments so that you just pay a bit each month.
Often, the reality of business means that the very time that you need to invest is precisely when it feels like a big ask.
If signing up to this programme would mean that you can’t afford necessities, don’t do it!
But if it’s simply that you don’t have that amount of cash to ‘spare’ (who does?!) then maybe it’s time to invest in yourself and your business, in order to move forward?

This is a good question! In fact, it’s what one of my previous clients (Sorrel) thought too, before she signed up. But, having worked with me, this is what she realised…
“At the outset, I thought I didn't need various chunks of the programme; I was wrong. Gretta has filtered and summarised the essentials into manageable chunks and is uniquely placed as the business expert who is in the business”.
You see, the phases of the programme (as set out above) provide a general framework and ensure that nothing is missed but, of course, if you’re already doing brilliantly with some aspects of your business, we won’t spend unnecessary time on this in your coaching sessions… this is one of the benefits of personalised 1:1 support.
Much like in our dog training/ animal behaviour work with clients, it can be tempting for people to want to skip to the ‘answer’ that they think you need (eg. I just want my dog to stop barking! I only need help with marketing.) when, really, the foundations that underpin the superficial issue need to be solid first.
This is why I ensure that everyone signs up for the full programme and has access to all of the online materials… and then the 1:1 sessions will be tailored to you and your individual needs.

The duration of the programme has been designed to support you through each phase so that you’re building on strong foundations, rather than just chasing the latest marketing fad or ‘sticking-plastering’ over issues that need addressing.
My goal is to give you the knowledge, skills, tools and support that you need to be able to develop and transform your business during our time together and beyond. This probably won’t surprise you given that there are significant parallels with the way that you most likely with an animal and their humans!
Of course, each business is different and how much work is needed to get yours to where you want it to be will depend on your unique situation.
You can also opt to extend your period of support for longer (at a reduced rate) if you want to.
Also remember that you’ll have access to all of the online courses that came as part of your programme (and the library of coaching support resources) for as long as they exist.
[N.B. If I decide to retire or withdraw any of these courses/ resources in the future, you’ll be given at least 2 months’ notice and have the option to download them for you to keep.]

No…. absolutely not!
It’s perfectly possible to run a very successful business without going anywhere near social media.
Of course, there are ways that social media can be helpful to your business and I’ll support you with this.
However, continually creating content (only for it to be irrelevant in 24 hours) while dancing around and trying to appease the social media algorithm gods is not a business strategy that I would encourage.
In fact, I’d argue that it’s not a strategy at all.

You’ll be able to keep these courses for as long as they are available, in the same way as if you had bought them yourself. If I ever withdraw a course, I’ll give you a minimum of a month’s notice and allow you to download all of the materials you need in that time.

Once you’ve come to the end of the 4 month period of support, you’ll still have access to all of your online resources (so that you can go back through any bits that you need) and the private Facebook Group (so that you can ask questions and keep in touch with others).
